Konica Minolta
When you're bringing some of the latest printing technology to an exhibition, you need a stand that gives it the space it deserves.
For Konica Minolta at The Print Show 2026, that meant creating a 230m² bespoke exhibition stand designed to put their printing machines firmly in the spotlight, while providing plenty of room for demonstrations, conversations and hospitality.
With the largest stand in the hall, there was plenty of space to work with. But bringing together multiple machines, dedicated discussion areas and a strong brand presence needed some careful planning.
The challenge? Making sure everything had its place, without losing the open, welcoming feel that encourages visitors to step inside.

The Brief and What We Did
Held at Birmingham's NEC, The Print Show brings together leading manufacturers, suppliers and professionals from across the printing industry to explore the latest technology, equipment and innovations.
For Konica Minolta, the focus was on showcasing their printing technology and reinforcing their position as a leading manufacturer within the industry.
The stand needed to accommodate several large production printing machines, with enough room for live demonstrations and visitors to see the technology in action.
But it wasn't all about the machines. Dedicated seating areas, a welcoming reception space and barista hospitality were equally important, giving visitors somewhere to discuss products, ask questions and connect with the Konica Minolta team.
With so much happening in one space, the layout needed to balance the practical requirements of product demonstrations with the more relaxed side of exhibiting.
The Build
With a 23m x 10m footprint, this was the largest exhibition stand in the hall, giving us 230m² to bring everything together.
The main structure was built using BeMatrix, providing a flexible framework for the stand while allowing us to incorporate bespoke features and clearly defined areas.
Rather than filling the space with screens and digital displays, the focus was firmly on the printing technology itself.
Some of the key features included:
- Dedicated demonstration areas providing space for Konica Minolta's production printing machines and live demonstrations
- Two contrasting carpet colours helping distinguish the product demonstration areas from the more relaxed seating and discussion spaces.
- A bespoke sample table giving visitors somewhere to explore printed materials and see the quality of the machines' output.
- A bespoke coffee counter offering a barista service and creating a welcoming hospitality area.
- A dedicated welcome desk providing a clear point of arrival for visitors
- Comfortable sofa seating and high tables offering different spaces for informal conversations and more detailed business discussions.
- Two overhead hanging banners displaying the Konica Minolta logo and strengthening brand visibility across the exhibition hall.
- Integrated storage areas keeping essential equipment and materials out of sight.
The stand also incorporated two 55-inch screens, but technology wasn't used simply for the sake of it.
With impressive printing machines already drawing attention, the design allowed the products to do the talking.
From the placement of the equipment to the separation of demonstration and discussion areas, every part of the layout was designed to support how visitors would experience the stand.
It's an approach we bring to all our exhibition stand designs - combining creative design with the practical details that make a space work.
The Result
The finished stand gave Konica Minolta a strong and recognisable presence at The Print Show, bringing large-scale printing technology, hospitality and meeting spaces together within one connected environment.
And with the client delighted with how the finished stand turned out, it was a great example of how thoughtful exhibition stand design can bring even the largest and most complex spaces together.
Big machines. Plenty of moving parts. And a stand designed to make it all work.
What Made This Stand Work
Big stand. Big technology. And plenty to show off.

Putting Technology Centre Stage
With several large printing machines to showcase, the layout was designed around the products themselves. Spacious demonstration areas gave visitors the opportunity to explore the equipment and see its capabilities, without unnecessary distractions.

A Space for Every Conversation
From high tables and stools to comfortable sofa seating and barista hospitality, the stand offered different environments for visitors to connect with the team. Whether it was a quick introduction or a more detailed business discussion, there was a space to suit.

Strong Branding, Clear Layout
Two overhead hanging banners gave Konica Minolta a recognisable presence across the hall, while contrasting carpet colours helped visitors distinguish between demonstration and discussion areas. Together, these details created a stand that was easy to navigate despite its size.

Questions
Find answers to common questions about our exhibition stand services.
Designing an exhibition stand for large machinery requires careful planning around equipment dimensions, access, safety and visitor movement. Dedicated demonstration areas, clear sightlines and enough space around each machine help visitors explore the products comfortably while allowing exhibitors to demonstrate their capabilities.
Different flooring colours, furniture arrangements and clearly defined zones can help separate demonstration and meeting areas without dividing the stand with physical walls. This creates a natural flow between busy product displays and quieter spaces for business discussions.
Hanging banners can improve brand visibility by displaying logos and messaging above the stand, making it easier for visitors to identify an exhibitor from across the hall. They're particularly useful for large exhibition stands where branding needs to remain visible above machinery and displays.
A large exhibition stand can feel more welcoming through open entrances, comfortable seating, clear layouts and dedicated hospitality areas. Features such as coffee bars, reception desks and informal meeting spaces help balance product displays with opportunities for visitors to relax and engage with the team.
